MNA Business Desk: The High Court (HC) imposed status quo on the activities of 24 housing companies over allegations of filling up canals, rivers, ponds and other water bodies under Kaliganj upazila in Gazipur. A High Court division bench comprising Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury and Justice Md. Ashraful Kamal passed the order on Sunday accepting a writ petition filed by rights group Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh (HRPB), BSS reports.
