MNA National Desk: The High Court has rejected a writ petition challenging legality of Mahbubey Alam’s holding of the office of attorney general, the state’s highest law officer. The HC bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman passed the order. Supreme Court (SC) lawyer Eunus Ali Akond filed the petition claiming that a person cannot hold the attorney general’s post after completion of his or her 67 years of age.
