MNA National Desk: Police have arrested five people in connection with the rapes and murders of two women in Dhaka’s Kadamtali. The suspects are believed to be serial perpetrators, said Kadamtali Police.
According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Kadamtali police arrested the five men on Wednesday night. The police did not unveil details of the arrestees.
The body of a homemaker was found bound and gagged in a house in Kadamtali on Jun 18. Another woman’s body was found on Jul 10. Police say both women were raped before being murdered.
However, being tipped off, a team of Kadamtali police conducted a drive in the area and detained the five suspects. A press conference will be held at Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) Media Centre in this connection.
