7 Bangladeshi athletes to get IOC scholarships

MNA Sports Desk: Seven Bangladeshi athletes will get scholarships from International Olympic Committee (IOC) for long-term higher intensive training in their respective athletic fields, ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

They include four shooters, including the only woman, two archers, and one swimmer.

The IOC is giving this opportunity for the sportsmen from developing countries to prepare themselves as well as to enable them to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics on their own ability, with a two year-intensive training period abroad.

The IOC will finalize the training schedule, venues and competitive tournaments for the athletes by the end of this month.
