BCS aspirants can apply without NID

MNA Education Desk: BCS aspirants for the 38th BSC examinations can apply without NID card, said PSC. Earlier, the Public Service Commission (PSC) issued a circular saying National Identity (NID) card is a must for sitting for BSC exams.

But many students seeking first class gazetted job do not have NID cards. Following protest by the job aspirants, PSC has backtracked from its stand.

Public relations officer of PSC Ishrat Sharmin told media that people can apply without NID card, but they will have to submit it prior to written test and viva voce. The NID cardholders will have to mention card numbers in their application forms, she added.

The PSC has invited applications for 38th BCS exams and last date for applying is August 10.
