MNA National Desk: A case was filed against eight suspected militants in connection with Saturday’s raid on a militant den at Ashkona of Dakhkhin Khan in the capital.
The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit filed the case with Dakkhin Khan police station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The accused militants include Jebunnahar Shila and fugitive militant Mainul Islam Musa’s wife ‘Trishna’, who surrendered during the raid.
Slain militant Tanvir Qaderi’s teenaged son ‘Afif’ alias ‘Ador’ and fugitive militant Sumon’s wife ‘Shakira’ are among the accused in the case, police said.
Earlier, two suspected militants, including a woman, were killed and a minor girl was injured during a police raid named ‘Operation Ripple 24’ on a militant den at Ashkona.
Jebunnahar, wife of ex-army Major Zahid, who was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with law enforcers at Roopnagar in the capital on September 2 last, and Trishna along with two children surrendered to police.
