4,000 modern buses, a new flyover for Dhaka city: Quader

MNA National Desk: Obaidul Quader, Road transport and bridges minister, said 4,000 more new modern buses would be put into plying on various routes in the city to facilitate better transportation of the commuters on Sunday.

Quader also said a new flyover will be constructed from city’s Fakirapul to Chunuputiya via Nightingale crossing and Babubazar.

He made this remark while addressing the newsmen after the ninth meeting of Board of Directories of Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) at Nagar Bhahan here.

Besides, some 300 cops will be provided for the two city corporations of Dhaka and the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) for footpath management, the minister added.

Housing and public works minister engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Dhaka north city corporation mayor Anisul Huq, Dhaka south city corporation mayor Sayeed Khokan and concerned secretaries, director general and district and pouro mayors were present in the meeting.
