Milon missing: JnU students boycott class

MNA Education Desk: The students of Physics Department of Jagannath University on Monday staged demonstrations on the campus boycotting class and exam for recovering their fellow, who went missing more than one month ago from the Mohammadpur area.

No class and examination were held as the agitated students locked the gates of the department at about 9:30am.

Later, they took position on the main road and locked the main entrance of the university.

Being informed, the members of Proctorial body reached there, discussed with the students and unlocked the gates.

The students alleged that the university authorities were yet to take any effective step to find out their fellow named Sadekul Islam Milon,who went missing since May 23 last.

They also said that they will go tougher movement if they did not get their fellow recovered by next 72 hours.

JnU Proctor Dr Noor Mohammad said that they were trying their best to recover him, adding that the university authorities had already sent a letter to the Home Ministry concerning the matter.
