MNA National Desk: The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal No 1. The depression over southeast bay and adjoining area moved slightly north-northwestwards over the same area and was centred at 6:00am Thursday about 1,400 kilometres southwest of Chittagong port, 1,330 kilometres southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 1,375 kilometres South or southwest of Mongla port and 1,335 kilometres south or southwest of Payra port. Parts of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Rangpur and Rajshahi are likely to face temporary gust-force winds and medium rain and thundershowers, according to a special weather bulletin.
