MNA National Desk: A Chittagong court sent BNP leader Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury to jail after rejecting his bail petition in a case filed under ICT Act. Metropolitan Session Judge Akbar Hossain Mridha passed the order on Sunday (October 21), reported news agency. Earlier, the High Court granted anticipatory bail to Amir Khosru in the case. MNA National Desk: Narayanganj school teacher Shyamal Kanti Bhakta, who was publicly humiliated last year, has been sent to jail on charges of bribery. On Wednesday morning, a Narayanganj court issued an arrest warrant for him after taking into account the charges brought against him by a colleague. Plaintiff Morsheda Begum accused Shyamal of taking Tk 135,000 as bribe promising to include her as an employee in the government’s monthly payment order or MPO scheme.
