MNA National Desk: Two people died after a morning fire swept through three buildings that housed a restaurant and a hotel in Dhaka’s Uttara. Fire Service said the fire started around 5:30am on Monday on the second floor of the four-storey building that housed the Sea Shell Restaurant. The fire left the restaurant completely damaged. MNA National Desk: Huge quantities of arms, firearms and ammunition were found from a canal at the city’s Uttara area on Saturday afternoon. Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police said that, on a tip-off, Uttara division police invaded Sholahati area of Uttara Sector-16 in the evening and recovered as many as 97 foreign pistols, including two 9mm pistols, about 1,060 bullets, 452 magazines and 10 bayonets which were found in the canal, claimed police and fire service sources.
