They were detained for planning terror occurrences in home country. The men had been held in April under the country’s Internal Security Act (ISA).

The sentence will have reflective consequence from May 27, the day the men were first shaped in court.

The report confirmed that, “Asking for deterrent sentences, the prosecution pointed out that the accused men have caused public disquiet and were funding one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations in the world: ISIS.”

The four were among six charged under the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act (TSOFA). The other two – Zzaman Daulat, 34-year-old, and Mamun Leakot Ali, 29-year-old, – have denied the charges and are claiming trial.

The court documents said that the four men had precise roles. They were led by Rahman, with Mamun as the group’s deputy leader. Miah used to grip finances, and Jabath functioned on the group’s publicity steps.

According to the report, court papers had exposed that Jabath possessed $1,360, including $1,060 given to him by Miah.
