Police cordon off militant hideout in Rajshahi, 12 held

MNA National Desk: The police detained 12 people including three alleged militants after cordoning off a suspected militant hideout at Dangapara village in Tanore upazila of Rajshahi early Monday.

The three suspected militants identified as Ibrahim, 34, his sibling Israfil Alam, 26 and their brother in-law Robiul Islam, 35.

The eight suspected militants along with four children surrendered after a team of counter-terrorism unit from Bogra along with Rajshahi district police conducted the drive, said Asaduzzaman, superintendent of police in Bogra.

The law enforcers also recovered two suicide vests, a pistol, six rounds of bullets and a magazine from the house.
